The Department of Sociology in collaboration with Suicide Prevention Action Network (SPAN) Project, National Mental Health Programme, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Sikkim organised the fourth monthly screening programme for the year 2025 on Friday, 22nd August in the college library.
Language students from the Departments of English and Lepcha participated in the exercise. The screening process was conducted by 10 student screeners from the Departments of Sociology, Lepcha and History along with 3 counsellors from Gangtok and Ranipool Upper Primary Health Centres (UPHCs).
Once again, the screening exercise was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Nancy C. Lhasungpa, Department of Sociology, NBBGC.
