NIELIT Gangtok in collaboration with Sikkim Police, Govt. of Sikkim and Nar Bahadur Bhandari Govt. College (NBBGC), Tadong, East Sikkim organised a Three-Day Training Programme on “Essential IT and Cyber Security Fundamentals” for Police Personnel of Sikkim Police from 18th June 2025 at the state of the art Cyber Security Lab created at NBBGC under the MeitY sponsored Project “Empowering Police personnel and Govt. officials of NE states through IT and Cyber Security Training”.
The said programme started with inauguration of the state of the art Cyber Security Lab by Shri Hem Raj Rai, IPS, DIG (Training), Sikkim Police, Dr. D Purohit, Principal, NBBGC and Shri Khagendra Sharma, Director-Incharge, NIELIT Gangtok along with Dr. Deepak Adhikari, HoD, Dept. of B. Voc. (Software Development) , NBBGC, Shri Munna Pradhan, Senior Administrative Officer, NBBGC and other officials from NBBGC and NIELIT Gangtok.
The initial batch of training is being attended by 25 police personnel nominated by Sikkim Police.
