Sikkim Government College Tadong observes World Environment Day
The Staff and students observed World Environment Day on 5th of June with Campus Cleaning and Plantation Drive. This year saw a huge involvement of teachers , non Teaching Staff and Students of the college . The Highlight of this years plantation drive was the entire green belt of the campus was divided into slots and each department was assigned a particular spot. It was also declared that in end of July a survey of all the plots would be done and the best maintained plot would be given a prize sponsored by the forest department.
The drive was organised by Eco Club ( Green Campus Committee ) and was supported by the NSS unit of the College. It was also announced that such drives would be organised twice in every semester hence forth so that the Campus becomes a green belt within the Gangtok city
