A “Meet the Author” event was organised by the Department of English, NBBGC, Tadong, on 21st July 2026 in the PG English Classroom from 11am to 02pm. The programme was conducted as part of the Creative Writing Course and featured an interactive session with the invited authors, Dr. Manjiri Prabhu and Mr. Bipinchandra Chaugule.
Dr. Manjiri Prabhu is a renowned Indian author, TV producer and film-maker. Mr. Bipinchandra Chaugule is also a writer, editor and producer and director, lyricist and a social activist.
Earlier in the day, the guests were received at the principal’s office and given a warm welcome by Dr. D. Purohit, Principal, NBBGC.
The session that was attended by the PG English students and the faculties of the English Department, began after Ms. Arpana Gurung, Assistant professor and Convenor of the programme, presented a brief introduction of the Resource Persons before the house.
The event provided the students with an opportunity to engage directly with the authors, gain insights into the creative writing process and participate in meaningful discussions on literature and writing.
