Department of Nepali observed Bhasa Manyata Diwas on 20th August 2021 on a virtual platform. This is an annual calendar programme of the department. Dr. D. Purohit, Principal of the college, had graced the programme as a Chief Guest.Dr. Tek Bahadur Chhetri made the Welcome address. Welcoming the dignitaries, he highlighted the purpose of the programme. The day itself is a momentous ine to every Nepali speaking people of India, as it is remembered as Constitutional recognition of Nepali language along with the identity of the people.Students from various semesters recited their poem along with the faculty. Dr. Satyadeep S. Chhetri of Chemistry department.Dr. Deepak Tewari, Principal, Namchi Government College was the Guest Speaker. In his address he highlighted the relevance and scope of Nepali Language. Presenting with various data, he gave an insightful prospects and historical background of evolution, development and uses of Nepali language in the context of non-print form. In his presentation, he also gave a databased information about the practices in public domain among which educational, administrative and competitive avenues are important.

Dr. Geeta Niroula, HoD in her address laid stress on the importance of acquiring knowledge of language and literature. She warned the students on the misuse of technology.Dr. Udai Chhetri also address the meet. He informed the students about various avenues to be acquired by the Nepali language students. He also shared the history of movement of Constitutional recognition of Nepali language.Representing outgoing students, Keshav Sharma and Jamuna Sharma express their gratitude towards the department and assured to employ and impart the knowledge gained during the college days in progressive way.
