MOCK ELECTION <\/h3>\n

A Mock Election was conducted by the Electoral Literacy Club, NBBGC headed by Nodal Officer, Ms. Makutaa Rai and team on 26th<\/sup> May 2022.
\nThe main objective of the event was to give the students a better understanding of democracy, to help them prepare for their role as Electors, and to encourage their participation. Students were educated about the electoral process and were given a basic knowhow about the electoral mechanism in the country. They were given a hands-on experience about the actual voting process at the polls. Emphasis was laid on explaining the importance of voting and to stress the fact as to why every vote matters.
\nThe ELC Nodal Officer along with the students of final semester, Department of Political Science enacted as Election Commission. Equal number of students from various departments under streams viz. B.A., B.Com and B.Sc. who had not cast votes were identified as the Electorate. Four international football clubs namely Arsenal, Juventus, Real Madrid and PSG were chosen to represent four political parties. Two players from each club were nominated by the Electorate as candidates for State Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha. This was done to avoid unnecessary controversy and make the entire event interesting for the students. The candidates shared their party manifesto to the Electorate and delivered speeches emphasizing on ethical voting.\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
